Eversource Energy Engineer, Gas Policy and Compliance in Berlin, Connecticut
Job Description Summary:
This position is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing engineering assignments related to policy and compliance of Gas Distribution. Ensures that work is performed in accordance with all federal, state, and company construction standards and procedures and all safety rules and standards established by the Company and required by law. Support QA/QC auditors and reporting tools. Analyze audit data, and develops, maintains, and submits reports related to quality assurance and compliance metrics. Supports development and management of the quality standards, procedures, and work practices of Gas Distribution. Resolves issues related to material and equipment for use on the distribution system, and supports failure analysis of material and equipment as necessary.
Education: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
Experience: 2-5 years related experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of distribution construction and maintenance work practices and procedures. Thorough knowledge of applicable government codes and regulations. Knowledge of accounting and business procedures. Familiarity with computer operations.
Working Conditions: Typically office environment. Some travel required. Some exposure to gaseous atmospheres, construction site hazards, and hazards on customer’s property.
