Job Description Summary:
Individual must have at least 4 1/2 years of experience as a fully qualified Parts Handler. Education and training equivalent to graduation from high school or vocational school required. Individual must hold a valid motor vehicle license and be able to obtain a forklift license. Working hours for this position requires the individual be able to work both the day and night shifts to cover operational needs as assigned. The position also requires the applicant be able to work in our district locations performing garage inventories as assigned.
Under general supervision, individual performs various kinds of skilled and unskilled work in connection with the garage inventory process. Individual must possess strong computer skills to look up and order parts on-line/accurately control inventory levels/reconcile billing processes and communicate by e-mail. Microsoft Excel/Word/MIMS and Fleet Wave are frequently used applications. Applicant must have strong communication skills to deal with various internal and external customers. Job also requires many frequent manual physical tasks such as unloading trucks/stocking shelves/delivering parts/bending and lifting with large mechanical and hydraulic assemblies. Working knowledge of the operation and construction of internal combustion engines and hydraulic assemblies is a plus.
